Wedding Suit Guide for Grooms in Dubai
Your wedding suit is the one you will see in photographs for the rest of your life — it is worth getting right. This guide helps grooms and groomsmen choose and coordinate wedding tailoring in Dubai. Mario Barutti has dressed the city's grooms since 1988.
Suit or tuxedo?
A tuxedo is the choice for a formal, black-tie evening wedding; a tailored suit suits daytime and garden ceremonies. If you are leaning black-tie, our tuxedo guide walks through lapels and colour. Browse wedding styles to compare.
Colour by season and venue
For daytime and summer weddings in the Gulf, lighter tones — beige, stone, soft blue — photograph beautifully. For evening and winter, navy, charcoal and black bring depth and formality.
Coordinating the party
The groom should stand a step apart — a three-piece, a different tone, or a distinct boutonniere — while groomsmen share a consistent colour and cloth. We dress whole wedding parties in coordinated tailoring; see our weddings & groom's party service.
Fit and timing
Book early. A wedding suit should be fitted with time to spare for any tailoring (a paid service, quoted in advance). Use our size guide and let our master tailors perfect the fit in-house.
The finishing pieces
A crisp dress shirt, the right tie or bow tie, and clean shoes complete the look. Keep it considered, not loud.
