Across Africa, a growing class of men wants tailoring they can trust — and increasingly, they're looking to Dubai for it. A suit cut by an established Dubai house carries a standard that can be hard to find locally, and thanks to modern shipping, you no longer need to be in the city to be dressed by its tailors. At Mario Barutti, we've tailored for Dubai's most discerning men since 1988, and we now deliver made-to-measure suits and tuxedos across 23 African markets.
What made-to-measure actually means
Made-to-measure is not off-the-rack, and it isn't mass production. It's a garment cut to your measurements and finished by hand in our Dubai atelier, in the cloth and style you choose. It's a premium, quoted service — and because each piece is built around one man, the fit is on a different level to anything bought ready-made. We work in Italian- and German-cut styles across sizes 42–70.
How it works when you're not in Dubai
The entire process runs over WhatsApp:
- Message us with the occasion and your city.
- Measure from home using our simple guide — or have a local tailor take your measurements. We check them with you.
- Choose your cloth and details with our guidance and photos.
- We cut and finish the garment in-house in Dubai.
- We ship it to you with tracking.
Our size & fit guide shows exactly where to measure, and our team walks you through each step so you don't have to be an expert.
Why order from Dubai rather than locally
A 38-year atelier with in-house master tailors is a rare thing. We're rated 5.0 across 241 Google reviews, we have two physical Dubai branches, and one person handles your order from first message to delivery. For weddings, business, or a wardrobe upgrade, you get genuine Dubai tailoring without the flight.
Which cities do you deliver to?
We ship across 23 African markets including Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Angola, Tanzania, Uganda, Egypt and more, as well as the GCC and internationally.
